I have had the opportunity to watch several farriers through the years. I have seen them horribly beat a horse because the horse wouldn't stand completely still, to a farrier that really hurt a horses foot while attempting to shoe, this man knew nothing of shoeing.
Since I have seen the many horrors of the farrier service world, know that I am very particular about who shoes my babies here. I asked around and found Joey Hite. He is the only person that will touch my horses feet. He is honest, fair, knowlegeable, and a pretty good all around guy. He treats my horses with respect when they misbehave and is caring when there is a problem.
One of my favorite horses had a problem one night, and I called Joey. He was here within the hour and had him fixed up in no time. I was almost in tears because he was lame on his right front at the time. Joey assured me that with some treatment, his foot would be just fine. Joey gave me the medicine for his foot, showed me how to treat it, and made sure I could do it myself. This was after he was off work for the day. He didn't charge me anything extra to come out that day.
For all the reasons I have stated above, and far too many to even mention, Joey Hite will be the only farrier service that I will ever use here. God help me and my horses should he ever quit the business. We would all suffer a great loss should that happen. Joey, I thank you and my horses thank you!!! You are the best.
